Marijuana Basics
Marijuana is a popular subject in the United States right now, with many states legalizing its use for both medicinal and recreational purposes. Marijuana is a drug and contains the mind and mood altering chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Multiple studies have shown marijuana to be addictive and to have long-term impact on the developing teenage brain.

"Not Your Grandfather's Weed"
While the marijuana plant itself is yielding a higher THC content than ever before (about 15%/marijuana cigarette), users continue to find new ways to consume the substance. One you may have heard of is "dabbing"; this is the process of heating an oil concentration of marijuana that yields THC contents of 80% or higher and is extremely flammable. Dabbing is a frightening trend parents need to be aware of.
